About David

*** UPDATE ***
I am now an Angelino! Looking forward to the next phase of my career, now with added sunshine and less snow…

**************

A native of Sydney, Australia, I moved to New York after an extended stay in Tokyo, Japan.

I can currently be seen on your TV or computer in episodes of shows such as Criminal Minds, Orange is the New Black, The Knick, and The Blacklist.

Before leaving the East Coast for the West, I performed in a very popular production of Pride and Prejudice at Baltimore Center Stage. Other regional theaters I’ve worked with include Shakespeare & Company (The Beauty Queen of Leenane), Luna Stage (A Moon for the Misbegotten, playing Jim Tyrone), Shadow Lawn Stage (Shining City), Stageworks/Hudson (A Wedding Story), and 12 Miles West (Darkness to Light, in which I originated the role of Beethoven and played him from age 10 to his death).

In New York I worked with the Pearl Theatre Company and a wide range of off-off Broadway companies, such as New York Classical Theatre, Gallery Players, Boomerang Theatre Company, Retro Productions, Seeing Place Theater, Blue Coyote, and Workshop Theater Company; I also appeared in a couple of Fringe Festivals.

In addition to my degree from Theatre Nepean in Sydney, I have trained with Primary Stages, T. Schreiber Studios, and LAByrinth Theater.

As well as my performance qualifications, I hold a BA in Linguistics, and have helped thousands of individuals learn English in my second career as a teacher.

Over the years, I’ve also driven taxis, entertained children in live shows throughout Japan, and performed in Greek ruins in Turkey.

Most importantly, for the last few years I’ve been relishing the role of father to my amazing daughter Astrid!
