New York Times (Ben Brantley)<\/strong> – \u201ca prospective lover, played by a first-rate David Sedgwick.\u201d<\/p>\n

Boston Globe (Don Aucoin)<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cA hallmark of Sedgwick\u2019s excellent performance as Pato is that he makes clear the fervor of the character\u2019s own dreams\u201d<\/p>\n

Berkshire Bright Focus (J. Peter Bergman)<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cSedgwick comes through this performance into a star\u2019s role in this company. He is that strong and endearing and in charge of his inner man. His debut role could lead to more roles in the future. He would be interesting to watch develop within the womb of this theater company family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Curtain Up (Elyse Sommer)<\/strong> – \u201cPato Dooley (David Sedgwick, a charming and worthy successor to Brian O’Byrne who created the role originally)\u201d
\n\u201cHis second act opening monologue in the form of an epistolary proposal is incredibly touching.\u201d<\/p>\n

Metroland (B.A. Nilsson)<\/strong> \u2013\u201c David Sedgwick brings a needed gravitas to the role of Pato, … and the second act begins with Sedgwick\u2019s masterful performance of the show\u2019s celebrated monologue, his recitation of a letter exhorting Maureen to join him.\u201d<\/p>\n
